My plein air painting practice started even before I went to art college and continues to date. In my early years, I seemed to be a total loser while painting plein air: no matter how hard I tried to copy the Mother Nature, my painted scenes were never as good as the real ones! Very frustrating! Decades passed. During these years, I've finally learned a few dos and don'ts regarding working in plein air. So here is an article I wrote for my plein air painting friends of "Artists Inner Circle" about the lessons I learned from my past plein air experiences.
