Changing the Mood by Changing the Pigments

I teach a weekly watercolor class and suggest to my students that the best way to learn watercolor is to paint! I challenge them to paint the same scene using different pigments to change the mood. You draw or compose once on white drawing paper, trace the image multiple times and paint again. What happens is thay you have multiple chances to paint and feel much freer to create and explore.

The growth that you find in your own painting journey will be evident. Remember, you are sometimes your own best teacher, put your brush to the paper and paint!

I will post a couple of seascapes to my album to see the latest version.
