Although I'm interested in all kinds of painting, I find there is no equivalent when it comes to plein air work. I made my first plein air painting at the Legion of Honor outlook for a class at SF City College. That was in 1987! Painting from life is a joy not to be missed, and painting outdoors where the breeze keeps me alive is a wonderous thing.
I've taken many roads in painting, but I always come back to my outdoor studio. It's freeing in a way like nothing else. Since there are so many groups to paint with nowadays, I also very much enjoy the camaraderie with other painters. Since we're all after the same thing it makes it fun.
Thank you for looking at my images. I'll be sure to make some more soon!
